American Shad Fishing

Join Bob Sparre for guided American Shad Fishing trips in Northern California. American Shad are common on many rivers within an hours drive of downtown Sacramento. We offer full-day Shad fishing trips on some of the best rivers in California, included the American River, Feather River, Sacramento River and the Yuba River.

These silver sided poor-man's Tarpon are plentiful and great fighting fish. We frequently locate schools as large as 10,000. We will perfect your skills with conventional or fly tackle.

Fly fisherman use our boats to access key locations while conventional gear is utilized from the boat.

These fish range from 2 to 6 lbs.

All supplies, such as rods, bait and plugs are provided (except fly fishing tackle).
